Once a symbol of unity and hope across Europe, the Eurovision Song Contest has been turned into a pink-washing front for war criminals in Israel.

After today's decision, there must be a global boycott of Eurovision.

The problem in the UK is that it is worse to be called a racist than it is to be a racist or say racist things. It should not be against parliamentary rules to tell the truth. Sarah Pochin was explicitly racist. It shouldn't be parliamentary misconduct to say so.
Dawn Butler was ordered to leave the commons when she called a lying Prime Minister a liar - now the deputy speaker tells her that you can’t call a racist a racist - grotesque protection of the worst people while the decent are hung up to dry

This speech is such an extraordinary combination of lies, delusions, narcissism, hatefulness, ignorance and lunacy that it could have been given by no other person than the president of the United States. It could well be the low point of US public diplomacy in our history.

Look what happens when these empty suits are held to account.

Lord Walney - former head of Labour Friends of Israel - can't even justify the existence of a proscription he has argued for.

Excellent journalism from Isobel Yeung - the rest of the media should take note

there's really a whole whole lot of horrific political violence that happens every dawn to every dusk and on through the night without a bunch of politicians coming out to say "political violence is never acceptable," so i wonder what's so fucking special about today

Thoughts become words become actions.

You can’t scream “fire” in a movie theater for no reason. It's illegal.

Thinking that it’s okay to say fighting words, disrespect one’s human rights, and assume that everyone will silently accept abusive sentiment is insanity itself.

I can’t believe that the BBC’s political editor finished his package on Mandelson with the suggestion that had Nigel Farage been appointed UK ambassador to Washington Starmer wouldn’t be facing this crisis. Was that a quote or a comment by Mr Mason? In both cases, this was not impartial reporting.
