To record this episode, I transformed my living room into a video podcast studio. I spread all the cushions I could find on the floor, arranged various lights that I had collected from different rooms in my flat and used my suitcase as a laptop stand.

I definitely felt like a pro with this set-up 😎

WIENFLUSS celebrated 20-years with a lovely party & #accessibility in mind 🎉🥂

You could try Braille Scrabble, learn about assistive devices, or relax in a room that had been decorated with candles and fairy lights to create a cosy atmosphere, offering some relief from #sensory #overload

I don't know why, but I always seem to end up at restaurant whose menus have #color and #contrast problems 😅

So, this time for Ed. #3 of what seems to be a mini-series now that I'll call #ContrastAndKetchup, I present this menu.

Let's have a closer look at the issue here ⬇️🚫

Look what arrived today, just in time for Pride Barcelona this weekend! 🏳️‍🌈

Thank you Nina Gerling for sending a #DisabilityInclusiveProgressPrideFlag to your community for free (and including cute stickers) 😍

This flag represents #LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilities.

I love that #accessibility is now a topic at meetups, since the EAA came into effect 😍

Today, I'm at the ReactJS Meetup in Barcelona, listening to a talk about quick accessibility wins.

There is a lot of interest, and people are taking lots of photos of the slides. This gives me hope 😁

This elevator technically works, but it’s labelling does not match a user’s mental model, forcing them to think harder than necessary.

To get to Level 2, you have to press 3. For level 1, you press 2.

Great #UX design isn’t just functional. It’s #intuitive, #clear and #HumanCentred.

Thank you for having me, #DWX!

Last week was filled with great conversations, knowledge gained through various talks, not to mention new connections, and exploring Mannheim.

I'm glad I could raise awareness by bringing #web #accessibility to the stage.

Hope to see you all around!

They're rarely found out in the wild, but today is our (un)lucky day! Hold your pearls as I present a rare but very real occurrence: a #color #contrast ratio of 1.1 to 1 👀

Don't make our eyes work harder than necessary. Reading a privacy policy statement is hard enough already.

On July 2, I will be at the #DWX in Mannheim! 🎙️

I'm glad to see so many women in my track, even though the total share of women among the speakers is only 16%.

Once again, I will be on stage talking about the impact of #accessibility overlays on the #usability and #UserExperience.

See you there!

Staying at my parents' place for a week, and I can't get any work done without this "Do Not Disturb!!!" sign on my door. Yes, the triple exclamation is a must.

My parents also mostly work from home, but their idea of it is very different from mine. Yet, my generation is called lazy 🤷‍♀️

Oliver Schöndorfer closing the A-Tag with his humorous talk about #accessible #typography. A must watch for everyone!

Denis Paris displayed the current state of AI image descriptions. Very interesting to see how different the tools interpret the same image!

He concludes that AI can be used as a tool to create image descriptions but only when using it responsibly.

@matuzo.at showing us new HTML attributes to create dialog modals without JavaScript: ‘command’ and ‘commandfor’.

Not yet supported by all major browsers but soon-ish.

The #ATag is celebrating its 20th anniversary in Vienna today, with a lot of talks from amazing people. Let‘s go! ✨

It's almost time for Global Accessibility Awareness Day and I can finally share my thesis 🎉

It took a year but I managed to create a website with an #accessible #version of the 160-pages thesis on #AccessibilityOverlays, and some additional content!
