Colleague: “Jon, why is this automation script set to French?”

Uh… I don’t… show me. oh!

Well it’s PowerShell and -le $stop means ‘less than or equal to the stop value’

🤦‍♂️

VGC just calling any automation "Generative AI" btw

The ones for the Great British Sewing Bee are particularly egregious. They were very obviously done by automation, and by a program that’s really struggling with both British accents and sewing terminology. Such as when it says “sowing bee” repeatedly

Or because it's an automation of nihilistic terrorism group chats that were Uber for domestic Gladio. Whatever. See previous point either way.

now available for your great pleasure

bonequest.com/video/

youtube has started removing bonequest videos for unknown reasons (probably automation gone wrong) so we've archived everything in one place, plus some stuff from our own personal dogshit corpus

Manufacturing has long been one of Tennessee’s strongest industries. Automation, production and profits are on the rise, but job growth is leveling out. @cstephenson.bsky.social reports.

One Ukrainian drone unit just killed 20,000 Russian soldiers.
Machines now do what armies once did.
Power isn’t measured in courage anymore - it’s measured in code.
Every nation still thinks it can win with force, while automation learns faster than they do.

I think they're betting on climate change to thin our numbers and automation to fill in the gaps.

it is weird that it is currently a counterintuitive take on "AI" to say "what if it just sort of works the way that new automation technology in the past worked, for good and ill?"
"weve invented a new way to store labour as capital and this will create paradise and infinite power for me and my company you should invest in"

Always turns out to be 2-3% rgdp growth. Economy is just a fungal organism with a set uptake of 2-3%

Thats why the Luddites were upset. Automation created too many jobs and things were too easy actually.
“The history of technology is that it always creates jobs,” says Liberal MP Evan Solomon of AI apprehension on 640 Toronto.

Brother, I know you’re not a journalist anymore, but damn.

Whiskerwood is already quite good and I haven't even gotten to the automation layer yet
Or video games about tyrannical cats oppressing mouse colonists in this case

Automated doesn't mean robotic. Set up sequences that feel personal. Use real stories. Ask questions. Make people forget they're in a funnel. That's when automation actually works.

It’s the sentiment/“rude” automation they implemented to “improve the experience.”

Can somewhat be overcome by disabling bluesky’s rude moderation but still. It’s just bad all around.

When you rely on automation and people who don't know about the thing they're writing about, you get stuff like this.

Literally every single day has, climatologically, some amount of rain. Will this forecast article say "this day is usually a bit wet" 365 days a year? That's wrong and useless.

A think that’s often ignored about the Luddites is that they weren’t people who were just averse to technology like some religious movements. They were workers who thought their bosses were using automation to replace them or force them to take low wages, and they were correct about both.

The richest 1% now own a third of all U.S. wealth. For everyone else, debt, automation, and high costs have made progress feel impossible. “The Prosperity Illusion” asks: who still gets ahead—and why?

Let see if this gets tagged. lol. I bet the automation will drop a "sexually suggestive" tag on it. Its a selfie. With tiny bit of cleavage. Boobs are not in herintly sexual. 😅

Okay, wow. I got a BIG shiny haul in Z-A this morning with my second round of automation.

Flaaffy, Froakie, Falinks, Medicham, Pidgey, Venipede, Pidgeotto.

No alphas this time, but some fun shinies.

The Elites know that AI and Automation are going to put millions of people out of work. They don't want to share anything to mitigate the damage of this. Their solution is to kill off the poor, the sick and all minorities.
