When does democracy die? I've been wondering that. When is "the end" of freedom in America? I was thinking maybe when we declare war on an ally. But now I'm wondering if it's not when an innocent man is sent without due process to a hellhole that we "can't" (won't?) get him back from.

I understand why they voted to keep the government open. If there were a shutdown right now, president musk would have just packed up doge and said "my job is done.... just don't open it again". But I don't like it. It feels like they are working with the enemy. There are no good answers right now.
