McDavid sets up Nick Suzuki for an in-tight redirection.

Canada 5-0.

Game was closer than this, but great hockey players finish on their chances generally.

Binnington pitching a shutout so far. He doesn't look great technically, but he stopped them all.

McDavid 3 points.

Around the world, politicians and businessmen are resigning from their positions because of the Epstein Files.

Except in the United States.

Here: Zero shame, zero consequences.

We need resignations, investigations, impeachments, and punishments now. Should have been years ago.

The Canadiens head into the break with yet another win.

Hutson, Dach, Montembeault some of the worthy to comment on, and the overall success is impressive too.

Also the trading deadline and plans for Laine.

The Call Of The Wilde is written for Global Montreal.

Call of the Wilde: Canadiens head into Olympic break with 5-1 win over Winnipeg - Montreal | Globalnews.ca
The Montreal Canadiens have played 57 times and have lost in regulation only 17 games. As Brian Wilde explains, that's huge, and was on display against the Jets.

Dude skated into Hutson and fell over him for a penalty. Dude hooks and drops Evans. No penalty.

And you can hear the arrogance when he is questioned.

Let me tell you why he had such a temper about being questioned.

Because he knew he was wrong.
When you’re right, you’re relaxed and calm.

What a shot (good news, his stick stayed in 1 piece) and what a masterful pass by Hutson!

I love that play. Demidov purposely off the pads as he sees Suzuki positioned for the rebound.

Like to see that used more. Great play on a 2-on-one too. Rebound to guy on the other side.

Canadiens lead 2-1.

These are some creative goals. Kapanen's flip designed to land in the area. Nick Suzuki skates into the alley-oop that has perfect weight.

And Nick actually scored on a breakaway. Good old school move on the deke.

3-1.

Another .810 from Montembeault

I must think about it every single difficult game he has ....

when they needed him to be bad for a higher draft pick, he was outstanding.

Now that they need him to be outstanding, he is ......

Well, I try not to be too harsh. Let's just let .810 speak for me.

If you don't agree, the analytics on that goal is a minus .85.

The max is obviously one.

So a minus .85 is a pretty significant should have had that in terms of Goals Saved Above Expected.
Boy, Montembeault so good all night, but that's a bit of a banana... and it's hard to win with big bananas or partial bananas.
