This NY Times article documents, in the words of DOJ employees who eventually resigned or were fired, how thoroughly DOJ is being transformed from an agency with the goal of impartially upholding justice to one acting at the dictates of Trump.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

Trump’s voters have become like the members of the administration, delighting in the crassness and obscenity that pours out of the president and his circle whenever they are challenged. But policies suffer and the public is poorly served.

Here's Colorado: acasignups.net/ira-subsidy-...

My wife and I currently have a marketplace policy. Premiums have not come out for next year yet, but we will be over the new "subsidy cliff" so are likely looking at an increase of ~$14,000 for next year. That's effectively a $14,000 tax increase.

I'm totally baffled abt the markets. Where is Capital? Trump is messing w/ govt data; imposing tariffs; flirting w/ default; meddling in corporate management.

Where are the CEO complaints? The bond vigilantes? Where are billionaire hedge funders who trade on good data? Was Capital's power a mirage?

Remarkable take on MAGA fury over Jeffrey Epstein from historian Nicole Hemmer: She roots it in pathologies on the right that go back a half century, to McCarthy, the Birchers, through the idea that Civil Rights was a commie conspiracy to the present.
