Trump is never blamed for the bad ideas and misinformation he spouts. It’s always that someone gave him that bad idea or info, and they’re to blame. People who have worked for him say he always just goes with the last idea he heard. It’s underreported just how manipulatable and dumb he is.

I’ve never understood why anyone accepts “a promise to hold a vote” as meaningful. Maybe they will hold a vote, but they will also ensure it fails. If you care about the policy you’re holding out for, demand it be part of the final package. Fighting just for a losing vote is performative nonsense.

I can’t put anything past these idiots making the decisions, but I personally don’t think Trump has the gall to send ground troops anywhere. Even a NATO ally under attack. He saw how unpopular it was to send them into Iraq and Afghanistan, and doesn’t want to get blamed for it like Bush.

The NFL should just switch to a college-like system. Each team getting an equal amount of possessions with no clock is the fairest way to do it. The playoff rules still advantage the team receiving the opening kickoff. This will be a complaint until they make the rules make sense. And no ties!

Point being, Dems can’t really fight back in many states for this cycle. I think the midterm environment can win the house anyway, but it’s not great. Good that Newsom’s going all out for this. CA is far & away best chance Dems have to counter GOP gerrymanders, but even then it’s an uphill battle.

Seems best shots Dems have at changing maps for 26 are IL & CA. Idk how many more seats they can get in IL? In CA, need to get a measure on November ballot with 2/3 legislature vote (not guaranteed). Then win that election, which will def be the most expensive special ref election in history…
