I don’t know how it works at the New York Times, but my editors at The Guardian would never let me publish this if they knew that I was one of the elites who spent time with Epstein. And if I published it without telling them, I would be out of a job.

And more ...

"Trump officials were warned repeatedly that cutting off food aid to refugees in Kenya would lead to violence and death. They did so anyway, and thousands starved."

Some briefly visited Nairobi, flying business class “to help ensure maximum rest and comfort,” per an internal memo.
After Trump Officials Cut Food Aid to Kenya, Children Starved to Death
“Brutal and traumatizing”: Interviews and a trove of internal documents show government officials and aid workers desperately tried to warn Trump advisers about impending disaster and death.

This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

Same article talks about Trump "blurring the lines" by befriending Nazis like Nick Fuentes. No, he's not blurring anything. He has befriended Nazis. You can just say that. It's simple, it's unambiguous, and it's true.

Report what people do and say. Don't seek excuses for them.

3 infant #pertussis deaths this year in Kentucky. "Of the three infant deaths reported over the past 12 months, all three were not vaccinated, nor were their mothers."

We first tested maternal vaccination for whooping cough over 80 years ago. It's safe & effective & might have saved these babies.

To date, China has purchased less than 2 million metric tons (mmt) of the “agreed” 12 mmt of soybeans this year.

This administration continues to get played by China.

again, this is evil.
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

This is a declaration they will use federal resources to deploy violence against judges, prosecutors, and attorneys general. There's no other coherent interpretation of the phrasing, including "only remedy," "legitimate state power," and connecting those people with "terror networks."

This first came out in a Rolling Stone article in 2023 and Stephen Miller denied it. His denials weren't credible then, but now that we're doing EXACTLY THIS, almost certainly under Miller's orders, I have no doubt it went down this way. Stephen Miller deserves prison. www.treason.io/p/read-one-s...

Democracy at its finest.
So, per the DHS Secretary, the Trump Regime has deployed troops to Los Angeles to overthrow the duly elected government of Los Angeles and of the State of California. bsky.app/profile/just...
Kristi Noem: "We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into the city."

Sen. Alex Padilla is then forcibly removed!

After writing my history of concentration camps, I came to believe that short of committing murder yourself, one of the worst things you can do is to abet or exploit the suffering of another human being to increase your own power in the world.
We've reached the point where Republicans are flying to El Salvador to visit one of the most vicious prisons in the world to have photo ops so they can prove their loyalty to the President of the United States.

The festive atmosphere you have heard throughout @mlb.com's initial two exhibition games in Japan is how it sounds & feels every inning of every NPB game. It's a great experience. The Tokyo Dome is tame compared to some of the other venues too. That overall vibe is why many of us love their game. 🇯🇵⚾
