i'm tapping the sign because a lot of people just seem to forget that "nsfw" doesn't just mean porn. it means "not safe for work." would i get sent to HR for having this on my computer monitor? yes? then it's not safe for work. for the love of everything that is holy, stop erasing the meaning.
Look, I get it.
Fuck the system.
But please for the love of god label your shit if its nsfw.
If someone is naked, it's nsfw.
It means: Not Safe For Work.
This isn't a euphemism.
It's literal.
If I open blue at work for a cheeky scroll to see how moots r doing, I shouldn't have to watch my 6.
Thanks.

tl;dr: Bluesky began with genuine promise: a new social media platform where users could feel safer, but inconsistent moderation quickly eroded trust.

When systemically marginalized users pushed back, Bluesky’s leadership minimized concerns and began to target them for bans.

Clarification: Accepting payments for commissions through Friends & Family is against TOS (which you agree to by making an account), and it is TAX FRAUD.

Do not ask for comm payments via F & F. Dont let an artist convince you to pay this way, because your account can be taken down as well.
Lots of "don't write 'commission' in PayPal's feedback box for invoices" misinfo/fearmongering going around.

Yes, PayPal is censoring nsfw/queer artists like other payment processors. No, the word 'commission' will not get you flagged unless youre taking Friends & Family payments for commissions.

It’s transgender day of remembrance, I’ve lost too many sisters this year.

It’s days like today where this old tweet from weedcatholic comes to mind.

You *have* to live, you can scream you can cry, but you gotta live.

Alongside the usual demands to oppose various censorship and surveillance bills, ive also been advocating for sex work decrim and anti-debanking legislation!

I suggest others do so as well!
I think it's time that folks call their local reps and straight up ask them to de-criminalize sex work and put in an anti-de-banking laws. That's what I'll be doing!

kinda tired of civilians telling sex workers to just “cheer up, you will find another platform to go to!” whenever a sex work site is on some bullshit. where do you expect us to go when all of these sites keep banning more and more content and caving to big bank/payment processors?

I talked a bit with Jason about Grokipedia and it is, without exaggeration, like if you trained an LLM solely on white supremacist blogs and had it try to write Wikipedia entries. Some of the most insane stuff I’ve seen on the internet

I also mentioned this but I incorrectly focussed on the person resharing the commercial.

We must advocate for the full release of the Epstein files, but we cannot let bad actors weasel bills like KOSA into their argument.

It will NOT protect children.
#SaveSpeech

if you've seen a video going around of Epstein survivors talking about their abuse, you need to be aware that video is promoting World-Without-Exploitation, an organization whose website supports legislation like KOSA, and advocates for the "Nordic model"

they are not your allies.

The "Frieren angle" thing, apart from just being delightful, also completely demolishes the pathetic "AI is democratising art" argument. Someone struggling with a difficult drawing received advice from hundreds of strangers who just wanted to help them improve their art.
