So there was at the LAX Hilton during the #PTDLA back in 2021. Going down to the lobby in the elevator, I was asked by a stranger if I was #ARMY, I said no I served with the US Navy and I watched the light fade from @ninjava.bsky.social eyes as she died inside from the embarrassment

I fucking hate when guntubers refer to budget firearms as poverty ponies. Not all of us who hunt, recreation shoot, or own a firearm for protection can afford the $500 shotgun, the $1000 AR, or the $900!

I am excited and dreading my internship this summer. Excited that I can get out into the community to educate and help, without having to be summoned via an emergency dispatch, I am dreading it because I know that this is sacrifice will be mostly unpaid and I will still be working full-time at night

So I fell through the cracks with the VA, and I was supposed to be paid a benefit for over a year. I am getting a years worth of back pay, I am both grateful for this lump sum, but also deeply enraged at the same time. The Dept of Veterans Affairs is woefully underfunded and understaffed. I wonder

My ambulance service is moving to cellphones for our crews to write our reports. I'm wondering if they are going to cheap out like with our current phones in our trucks. Because trying to type out shit like hypoglycemia and torresades de pointe on T9 is going to take forever

I really, really, really wish, MDs, RTs, RNs, and other medical professionals who work in the Emergency Room would do ride alongs on the ambulance as part of their training. We medics and EMTs do hospital clinicals, and we get a taste of their world, I wish they would get a taste for ours.
