New in PN: Cue the rebellion

"The unfortunate conclusion to the shutdown is going to fuel a rebellion within the Democratic Party, one that has already begun but will only get stronger. And despite all the justified disgust now being expressed at Dems, in the long run it will be good for the party"
Cue the rebellion
The Democratic base is enraged at their party's capitulation — and that's a good thing.

This is why we’ve launched the largest primary program that we’ve ever run.
Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

I think any story about Trump's autocracy should be mostly about the people and institutions who failed to stop it. This guy isn't a political genius, everything else just happens to be rotten. 'Toddler Consolidates Power In Household' is a story about incompetent parents, not shrewd maneuvering

You probably know how languages in D&D work: pretty much everyone speaks “Common” but there are also a smattering of languages different ethnic groups speak like Elvish and Dwarven. For this to make sense, it tells us something about the implied setting of D&D

It’s called FLOODING THE ZONE.

Enemy within Steve Bannon created the strategy, and the Trump administration is using it to brutally attack America.

“Flooding the zone,” according to Bannon: "The media can only—because they're dumb and they're lazy—they can only focus on one thing at a…

Just started playing #voidwrought and I'm loving it. Doesn't seem like this game got a lot of attention, but it's a wonderful #metroidvania. Great movement, combat, progression, visuals, and music. Seems maybe a little light on the story, but personally I don't care.

So basically the Trump Admin’s immigration policy is to increase the number of people from other countries who come in and take high-skilled, high paying American jobs, while deporting everyone else doing physically grueling jobs for shit wages?

Oligarchs now own:

- the incoming President
- the majority of the Supreme Court
- half of Congress
- most of legacy and social media

They do not own:

- most of the American people
- our values
- our hope for better days...for all

This is our ground zero for the rebellion.

Lots of talk about the Trump opposition being "deflated" but I don't think that's quite right. Somewhere between "resigned" and "recalibrating" seems more accurate to me. In 2016 it felt like the country blundered half-drunkenly into a tragic mistake, but this time... 1/2
