Disabled lefty shouting into the void.
Here's my Frankenstein project video. I'm kind of new to reading and reviewing books so I don't know if my waffling makes sense but people seemed to like it 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Took me a few days but I'm getting closer to my baseline now after London 😅 I'm in a village near Ely (Cambridgeshire) so life is usually a lot quieter for me!

It's asurprisingly accessible hobby. I settled on it after finding restoring furniture was too much for my body. Books are much smaller!

Thank you! I'll do my best to steer my group towards these and away from pret! ☺️

(Replied with my channel account accidentally! Juggling accounts is hard 😅)

Speaking of zone one. I'm going around Piccadilly Circus for a book signing later. Do you know some good places for food/coffee that I won't get fleeced 💀😅

Desperately want to avoid chains like pret!

rebinds and ripping off perfectly functioning covers from books - but it's the only way to legally get around copyright for modern books. I did Frankenstein from scratch for Halloween and that was my best work so far! If your wife is interested I'd suggest looking at that project first ☺️

At least you can get a little respite laying absolutely still... Only in the perfect position I'm sure 😅 pain sucks!

I've got a trip to London for a book signing tomorrow. Will be taking a *lot* of meds!

Bookbinding is a good craft. I'm sure many traditional binders won't appreciate me doing...

Accidentally picked up a chocolate pudding instead of a sticky toffee pudding from Lidl the other day. Devastated 😭

They like him because he can effortlessly fire off the kind of vacuous guff they wish they could so they don't have to actually answer anything. They see non answers as the ideal.

Starmer looks aloof because he shuts himself away and doesn't say anything. Wes will say nothing to the cameras! 🎉🤩

I'm doing okay. I have been pretty overwhelmed with social media while trying to get my bookbinding channel up and running. It seems to be going okay? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Hard to find the time to use my personal accounts though. All of this Wes coup stuff reeled me back in temporarily 😅

How about you?

This gave me flashbacks to the 2019 election with the 2 billion trees pledge that everyone scoffed at but was entirely plausible with a relatively small forestry jobs programme and some new national parks 😅

Zack a day after the election - "Sorry kid, your self assessment tax return doesn't add up 🙎🏻‍♂️"

I wonder if they did an impact assessment? Is there any bias in the AI models they've used? Are some sicknesses/disabilities favoured or ignored?

School absence policy made no sense for disabled people before it got shoved through a magic tech bro black box. I dread to think what it'll be like now!

I feel like I need to wargame this out to find the worst outcome. That's probably what will happen. Is anyone in the parliamentary labour party worse than both of them?

I keep thinking that surely we've exhausted the ways it can all get worse but then up pops another.

Maybe this time it won't? 🤞🏻
November 12, 2025 at 1:02 PM
I guess they have to implement it now before the BBC implodes and leaves a political editorial vacuum that could be filled by less favourable outlets 🤷🏻‍♂️
November 12, 2025 at 12:47 PM
Of course I *want* the labour party to be burnt to the ground and this is 100% the way to accelerate that... But it'll be a fucking bleak 4 years until the next election.

The schadenfreude isn't worth the harm to all the people he'll throw under the bus in that time.

I get it. I felt like this when the PIP changes were getting rammed through. He was in leadership campaign mode and was posting daily but said nothing about PIP. Desperately needs some substance. A way for people to engage and shape policies. Campaigns against current issues. More than just vibes.

I just don't get how he has the credibility to stand? He won't Ilford north with just a 528 vote margin!

They'd be voting in a leader that almost certainly won't make it to the next parliament.

Everything he's personally done in government has been deeply unpopular to his core constituency voters.
November 12, 2025 at 12:28 PM
It all makes that 528 vote margin in his seat so much juicier! Nearly beaten by a progressive anti genocide local independent candidate (Leanne Mohamad) - and the political climate has only worsened for Wes's politics since. He will not make it to the next parliament! What's the point of the coup? 😅
November 12, 2025 at 12:15 PM
It's such a hilarious idea to me. He won his seat with a margin of just 528 when labour were at their most popular. Who in their right mind would vote for him in the leadership contest?!? He won't be here after the next election!
November 12, 2025 at 12:08 PM
The Greens have (finally!) given the left somewhere to go - you can use that as a bargaining chip to pull support away from those that will ruin the party further.

If you're serious about stopping reform you need to be proactive and put that option on the table now before it's too late.
November 12, 2025 at 8:05 AM
I understand the call for unity from what remains of the left in labour - but you also need to build a credible threat to the right in your own party.

You have to state your opposition to figures like Wes and how they don't align with your values. Say you won't work with him. Threaten defections.
November 12, 2025 at 8:05 AM
Do you remember people calling his hair forensic in the leadership elections? It's giving forlorn now.

5 years! Right wing politics must be more ageing than UV light 😅
