Saturday morning art project. I’ve been roped into making an entire Gibdo from scratch out of perler beads. I love how much my kids love the Zelda games.

Biggest drawback I’ve found to Apple Fitness workouts is that they don’t have any that are set to anime themes. Rock anthems don’t motivate me, but kick off a 30 minute rowing workout with A Cruel Angel’s Thesis and I’m in it.

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

It’s not every day I wake up wondering where I can find a tuba, but this is one of those days.

I ended up in downtown San Diego earlier today, and I waved as I went past TwitchCon to my friends and former coworkers who might be there. I wish I could have stopped awhile longer to say hi. I hope y’all are having fun.

Oh. I think I missed a shipping notification somewhere. A happy surprise just in time for the spooky season.

Good morning to everyone who is supportive of their friends who are having kids but knows it would be a way bigger celebration if their friend was new to playing D&D or Magic the Gathering, and to them only.

Minor quibble: this isn't quite true.

Medieval peasants worked fewer hours than we do.🤷🏿‍♂️

Hunter gatherers worked fewer hours than we do too.🤷🏿‍♂️

But they did work almost all of their lives. Because they died at like 30 years old.

Modern life has medical science, not fewer work hours than pre-history
For most of human existence, everybody had to work, and they had to work almost their entire lives, because production was not efficient enough to support a substantial number of non-working people in a community

This weekend’s adventure - I’m teaching myself to make ramen from scratch. Well, with premade noodles, but still. My whole house smells like tonkotsu broth right now. 🤤

I enjoy bulk cooking chicken because I’m the only person in my family who likes the crispy chicken skins. Everyone gets dinner for the week, and I get an extra little snack.

Listening to Mozart horn concertos with my AirPods has finally made me appreciate head-tracked Spatial Audio. With the volume up I almost feel like I’m listening to a live orchestra.

It makes me want to play again.

Got my COVID booster. Time to settle in and binge anime for the weekend.

Good morning to everyone who has come to terms with the fact that they probably wouldn’t want to survive in a zombie apocalypse, and to them only.

VirtualBoy accessory for Switch is completely unnecessary.

I must have it.

I’ve been tinkering with multi-room, wireless, synced audio in an attempt to replace Amazon devices in my home. Switched back to be able to play records throughout the house today and my Echo Link appears to be bricked. Guess I’m building this out sooner than expected.

I love that my wife found a copy of the 3e Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book at a thrift store today. I’ve honestly never gone deep on the lore. Curious to read this and see how badly I butcher this world in my games. Also my first time looking at 3e.

A Rascal sister site has launched: @roguesite.bsky.social

Former-Polygon writers have gotten together to launch a worker-owned video game journalism outlet (with a little rascally help).

If you mourned the loss of one site, celebrate the birth of another, and support the people making it happen.
Rogue joins the worker-owned journalism crew
Congratulations, it's a website!

Trying to branch out into other K-Pop, and all the playlists are K-Pop Demon Hunters. I don’t hate it. It’s just wild how it’s everywhere now.

Yes, it’s good. Great, even.

I also see the Netflix marketing machine at work.

Most folks nowadays probably know Chuck Mangione from "Feels So Good" or his voice acting on King of the Hill. But "Land of Make Believe" will forever be my favorite of all the brilliant music he & his band made. youtu.be/QDROhj28cto?...

His passing is sad but his music will never be forgotten. <3
