Saturday morning art project. I’ve been roped into making an entire Gibdo from scratch out of perler beads. I love how much my kids love the Zelda games.

My coping mechanism for today was inspired by Linkus7’s Wind Waker run from this year’s AGDQ. Somehow my old GameCube still works, and paired with the RetroTink 4K to upscale with CRT Emulation, the game looks brilliant.
I got to play for about 15 minutes before my kids took over. Worth it, though.

I like this kind of surprise. My copy of theimposterkings.com just arrived. I backed the upcoming expansion on Kickstarter, and I didn’t even realize the base game had shipped.

Finally done. Only had 3 trips to the craft store today because I kept changing my mind on the straps, and then I bent two needles trying to do the final stitching.
I’m proud of this. It turned out so much better than I expected.

Discovering that my local thrift store has old records for $1 each has been an adventure. Today’s haul includes Holst, Mahler, Tom Lehrer, an original cast recording of Chicago, and these two gems. Time to torture my family with German dixieland and yodeling.
