Prediction? No manager for two weeks, then it’s an appointment from Levy’s dreams: a manager used to working with no money and a tiny wage bill. We are forced to sell players who were loyal to Ange, especially Romero, and can’t attract top talent with tiny contract offers. Sacked by October.

I’d like to see how he looks in the two matches between now and then. 30 minutes tomorrow and a start and 60-70 minutes vs Villa and reassess.

Well put it this way, H signed with Tottenham’s academy in 2009. Last trophy was 2008. Not saying the Kane Curse has been the sole defining reason for the drought, but I’m not saying it helped. Go on and break the voodoo, Harry, set us free!

I certainly hope to see better fundamentals on the weekend and then a proper win midweek to keep the dream alive. Yesterday was limp and I can only be grateful that no significant injuries happened (Solanke “just a knock”) and it’s just one goal. We move forward!

My reservation with that is those so focused on their Ange Out agenda. They’re stuck in panic mode and minimize any positive result because it wasn’t a perfect fantasy performance that they have built up in their heads of what Iraola would do with the same match.

They pay you for these takes? Pretty incredible. Gotta tip my cap to an elite swindler.

Oops, United of the Manc variety haha

Playing down to the level of the opponent nearly did us in vs Coventry in the first round. Hopefully it’s playing UP to the level of Liverpool today to head to Wembley!

From a Spurs perspective, would have to go through City, United, Liverpool, Newcastle. Any other season and the first two might seem more impressive haha

Idk, I just think logically that this is a guy who wants playing time and Chelsea have 438 players while Spurs have about 10-13 fit.

Transfer rumors are 99% bullshit, that is true. Of the remaining 1%, only 1% come true due to the complex intricacies of actually making the deal.
January 30, 2025 at 2:26 AM
So Chelsea has passed their 24-hour window from when they were first linked to him at the beginning of January? That’s great news that they’re out of the running!
January 30, 2025 at 1:29 AM
I wouldn’t be surprised if Spurs have played more matches than any other club so far. Still in all comps, so a lot of midweek matches, and more on Thu due to Europa than Tue/Wed for Champions League.

At least the City match is a guaranteed three 🤷‍♂️
January 16, 2025 at 2:56 AM
I read somewhere that it would have generated about £1m and that their annual budget is £1.6m, if I recall correctly

Hard to disagree with you. On the rare occasions that Spurs get a 2 goal lead, the game opens up and he uses the pace he still has and can deliver good crosses that often end up at Brennan Johnson’s back post runs. But if we ever fall behind, teams know to park and counter. Then he’s out of ideas.

Nothing more than a warm body to let Son rest as much as possible. No Mikey Moore, no Odobert, no Richarlison who would all be above Timo in the pecking order if healthy.
January 4, 2025 at 4:36 PM
What in the hot fuck is that pitch? Did they run a polo match for pre-match entertainment?
January 4, 2025 at 3:39 PM
His thoughts before the presser were “I don’t ask the refs for explanations” and “what am I going to change about it by complaining now?” Paraphrasing. His “equal and balanced” is more about player availability, not saying a ref conspiracy. IMO though, Joelinton deserved multiple yellows.
January 4, 2025 at 3:33 PM
No midweek match and we look a different side. Fatigue has been debilitating for the players.
January 4, 2025 at 2:49 PM
He’s our leader once Son moves on, pure captain material. Don’t watch his interviews and sit-downs if you don’t want to fall even more in love! Bleeds that Mamba mentality.
January 4, 2025 at 2:46 PM
See: Joelinton getting away with a bevy of bookable offenses.

There was a moment around the 65’ where Deki was driving up the right and Joelinton came in with a hard but ultimately fair challenge. My immediate thought was that he wouldn’t be risking that if he’d been properly booked earlier.

You could probably swing a deal, starting number needs to be above £250m for us to not mark the email as spam though.
