I'm so sorry I can't stop laughing. OpenAI, the company built on stealing literally the entire internet, is crying because DeepSeek may have trained on the outputs from ChatGPT. They're crying their eyes out. What a bunch of hypocritical little babies. Cry more, freaks.

The San-Francisco-based ChatGPT maker told the Financial Times it had seen some evidence of ‘distillation’, a technique used by developers to obtain better performance on smaller models by using outputs from larger, more capable models. This allows them to achieve similar results on specific tasks at a much lower cost. OpenAI declined to comment further on details of its evidence. Its terms of service state users cannot “copy” any of its services or “use output to develop models that compete with OpenAI”.

I have a spot in the woods that I frequent regularly, in the past I'd piled up the odd log beside a mighty oak tree. This log pile has been home to a few generations of bank vole by now. I feel a great sense of achievement every time I see them emerging from their home. #Nikon #AffinityPhoto
A bank vole it's hairless tail visible to the lhs edges out into the light from the safe haven of darkness in the background, the photographer, that would be me, was lying prostrate on the ground just over two metres away, so the vole looms large in the frame, just under it's pink whiskered nose to the right a small twig lies where it fell from a tree above at some point in the past, encrusted with cyan coloured lichen, the lit foreground is blurred due to shallow depth of field from the f5.6 aperture of my 200-500mm lens, the image was shot at 500mm, the vole's eye has a nice catchlight. The sunlight illuminating it's fur which appears mostly grey but on it's back a rich chestnut colour predominates.
