Australia Institute research shows the gas industry pays ZERO royalties on more than half the gas exported from Australia.

How did Australian universities go from free education to $50,000 arts degrees in 50 years?
Thanks to the Job Ready Graduates scheme, an arts degree today will cost over $50,000. How have five decades of government policy taken us from free education to this?

I'm so delighted at HOW DELIGHTED people are that Monash Uni has dropped WoodCIDE

People LOVE this corrective action against a land-, ocean-Indigenous culture- & planet-destroying fossil fuel corp and I hope mainstream media puts out a big, illustrated story on it soon
It's just been confirmed that Monash University is dropping Woodside as a partner because they don't align with their sustainable values. This is an incredible win for @stopwoodsidemonash.bsky.social who have run a dedicated grass roots campaign for years.

Two things to bear in mind given the words you’ll hear over and over today in Australia: (a) the louder “the national interest” is invoked, the more likely it masks a narrow political interest, and (b) functionally, delay amounts to denial. #NetZero

Why. How can they do this!
I'm so sorry to hear this. It's against commonsense, medical knowledge, the wishes of children, parents and specialised doctors who deal carefully with complex situations. It's just discrimination by Qld conservatives of very little brain who'd rather ban something than try to understand it.
In an abhorrent turn of events, Queensland's Health Minister - Tim Nicholls - has reinstated a ban on gender-affirming care for young trans folk, just hours after the Supreme Court ruled the LNP’s first ban unlawful.
