Meanwhile, we see in corporate America a move towards personalized rule and away from the rationalized bureaucratic management of the 20th century. Dual class shares, stockholder agreements, twitter followings, etc make CEOs look more like kings than “executive officers.”

The current politics in the United States can best be understood as a basic distinction between people who have sincere ethical and moral beliefs about the dignity of others—and are willing to act on that—and those who see the State as a tool to enact pain on enemies.
