"Allllllriiiiight, fine. If you want an experienced public servant, vote for me."

"But if you want to believe a lot of crazy promises. . . then by all means: Vote for this SLEAZY. LUNATIC."

Also, to those who repeat endlessly the canard “no one in the younger generation is buying a home”. . . ummmmm 👇

Outdated narratives and folk wisdom are hard to kill, sometimes.

My reply to those who say “no one can afford a home” is always this. 👇

Clearly, many people are affording homes.

Perhaps we’re just unhappy about it all for reasons other than “affordability”.

Remember when Barbara Boxer effusively praised Lindsey Graham at the end the Coney Barrett confirmation hearing, and gave him a long, warm hug?

Something like that is happening here.

Some Senate Dems genuinely love and admire their Republican colleagues, and don't want them to leave office.

Apropos to nothing:

Ever since Twitter became popular, I’ve been unable to hear “QT” and not think of this.

The funny thing is: Governor Spencer Cox, R-UT, did the best job of explaining what basically *is* the Dem position on transgender rights and opposition to blanket bans, on sports and other things.

He said things here, that Dems seemingly can't.

Maybe being a conservative lends him credibility.

Smith appears to have a split personality.

On the one hand, 1.) he keeps churning out articles like this. 👇 Which are good.

On the other hand, 2.) what the fuck is this shit. 👆

The dude even--constantly, to his credit--notes that social media is "marinating everybody's brains".

And yet.

To his credit (I guess), he did preface his article with this, which undercuts his main thesis. 👇

When about 2/5 of Jewish voters in New York support Mamdani despite all the "horrors" Stephens laid out, perhaps it's time for Stephens to take a critical look at his own assumptions. Not that he will.
