OK watching this video of TFG this morning, I'm wondering if he has Parkinson's or takes the meds used to treat it. My mother-in-law with Parkinson's does the same thing. She calls it her "face making faces." It's the meds stimulating the muscles.

So fun when the county you live in is burning from both ends. Just gonna hold my breath for a ... month.

I am a 2X graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, and this list of degrees they are dropping or phasing out is nuts.

Journalism, African-American studies, Spanish and other languages.

Physics, chemistry, and mathematics?

What the heck is left?

I've noticed that lately when I see a headline with the word "ICE" in it, my brain reads it as "lice."

Which isn't at all wrong, now, is it?

Absolutely gutted that KVPR's Marv Allen has passed. I've only lived here since 2013 but his cheerful voice was always the highlight of my commute. #fresno

Shades of me asking my dog, "Who's a good boy?"
Q: Who is your favorite president?

Me when the characters in a book finally figure out the prophecy/spell that every reader knew 8 chapters ago ...

If I could talk to myself from 20 years ago, I'd say, "You're moping about Bush getting re-elected? Ha, just wait!"

She'd probably think I mean things will get better. Bless the delusion.

Sen. Cory Booker, wow. I don't accomplish that much in a month let alone 24 hours straight!

OMG I've been saying this for years. The happiness that turned to despair days later.
The Cubs winning the World Series. No doubt about it.
What do yall think was the nexus event that created this branch in the timeline?
I’m torn between the Cats movie and when people were licking gallons of ice cream in the grocery store and putting it back.

I'm totally on board with a Target boycott, but it's making me miss Meijer all the more. I don't want to go to Walmart or chain drug stores. Where can I get a hair clip and deodorant?
March 7, 2025 at 8:40 PM
I absolutely am taking part in the boycott today, but I am going to the Fresno Rogue Fest, because fringe performers are exactly the type who need our support!

Life is terrible, the country is an effing disaster, but if Buffy is coming back, then there's hope.

Thinking of my dad today and the way he'd make Xmas carols funny. Like, "I don't know if there'll be snow, so have another beer." And Santa's elves were Hard Rock, Cokehead and Blow.

(You probably won't understand that second one if you didn't grow up in the Chicago area)

I will only accept that the NJ drones are an alien invasion if it means they've come to take Trump and his toadies away.

Happy holidays, I have Welcome to the Black Parade stuck in my brain.

Soon to be replaced by Fairytale of New York I fervently hope.

Jfc, been on Bluesky for like a month and already got my first message from some dude who thinks I'm gorgeous blah blah blah. I am 60 years old and decidedly not gorgeous, nor do I really care anymore. Eff off already.

I find it odd that groceries have started calling blood oranges "raspberry" oranges. I mean, were vampires buying them and getting mad because there was no actual blood?

The other day, I met a woman in the hospital elevator who was taking In-and-Out to her daughter in labor. If that isn't the essence of California, I don't know what is.

My book hot take:
Books that feature a character who knows stuff, but won't tell others are ... annoying. Slowly releasing information is not a substitute for a plot.
