Retired NHS living in the UK West Country. Grandmother, Mother, dog lover, and writer of stories.. no DMs thank you
Still got the sore throat. Bad enough to need four hourly paracetamol. No temperature etc so unlikely to be a coincidental separate issue.

Not used the #Trimbow inhaler (with spacer) since Friday night and reluctant to do so.. obvs.😱 at least ‘Afib’ episode was short lived

Practice nurse prescribed a Trimbow inhaler (with a spacer) to replace Spiolto I have had for years.

Started yesterday. Rinsed my mouth well after the doings but a few hours later got a really sore soft palate.

Anyone else had an issue with #Trimbow?

Phone call from the lung cancer screening team.. all clear and recall in two years. #NHS
The lung cancer screening initiative is for ex smokers up to age 74.

My fabulous GP found me the contact so I could get in before my cut off date in September.

I rang yesterday, was screened and having the scan on Thursday at local ASDA.

My wee girl, Edith, was spayed today. I feel so guilty but it is vital to protect from cancers and potential womb infections. Two weeks lead walking only. Mini air conditioner on to keep her more comfortable #EnglishSpringerSpaniels

Thank you @redpeter99.bsky.social.

I’ve seen this many times over the years, with elderly people in hospital wards being quite traumatised hearing and seeing the fireworks that the rest of us were admiring.
My wife's uncle landed on Gold Beach on DDay as part of the Green Howards.
In later life, he developed Alzhiemers and became very distressed on Bonfire Night and New Year's Eve. He thought he was in Normandy in 1944.

If you're eligible for an NHS Covid booster, the window for getting one this spring/summer ends on 17th June, so book it now. They won't invite you, you need to seek it out yourself. If you're not sure if you're eligible, check the "Green Book" here: assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/67d8a1...

Smart meter fitted today. Oh my goodness, kettle on and straight to the red zone.

Just tried microwaving two mugs of water for 5 minutes… meter went to orange zone… tea is nice and frothy! 😱

Next step, put enough water in the kettle and time how long it takes to boil🤷‍♀️

Many are intrigued and amused by the potential push to Macron’s face by Madame.

Whatever it is, it is potentially domestic violence and should be considered this, until proven otherwise #Macron

one of the rarest moments to witness when monitoring bird nests is the moment a chick fledges from its nest - it's all over before you know it, and you gotta be super lucky to record it.

Here's the adorable exact moment a superb parrot chick makes the leap into the unknown 😭💚💚👋

Greatly undervalued but fabulous story of an English girl in America searching for love
