Software for Fun - skill issue
@di-caverna.bsky.social
Floating freely, software for fun, cats, my family, my town, my bike, sometime games, that's all.

Truth, freedom then peace.
I just stated a fact, it works for me, this has been taken 1 minute ago after updating the game in Steam:

Mint as well, it is an Ubuntu thing.

On Mint drivers are updated very quickly, this is what is baked in currently, also the kernel is not outdated like many think, it is on 6.14 now. There is no need to install drivers manually, drivers are re-applied transparently when the kernel is updated, which happens quite often.

Mint has built-in drivers as well, 2 clicks and done, gaming is great using Steam/Proton.

Linux Mint has no trouble with NVIDIA cards, drivers installation is 2 clicks.

On Mint (and probably others) NVIDIA drivers are not a problem, always working for me.

Installation/updates/downgrades require just few clicks.

I installed steam from the Software Manager and it launches like any other application on my 2PCs+laptop, there must be something on your side.

About games: I use the following in full screen: Stray, MW5 Mercenaries, No Man's Sky, Overload and various others.

Strange, you should check your system.

Do you mean it takes more than clicking the new one? lol

My 2nd corvette attempt, I like it but the front is, maybe, still too flat. Access ramps placement is, I think, original.

I have a 3440x1440 monitor and use X11, what problems should I look for?

Fractional scaling is described as "experimental" in Cinnamon but apparently it works.

Asked ChatGPT: "could you suggest a way to avoid all the AI features enforced in windows?"

Option 6 is nice 😀

That is done in the Software Manager, you install/uninstall font packages just like you install/uninstall applications. You can read reviews, vote them and search for extra information.

Falling behind, how exactly?
August 12, 2025 at 7:57 PM
This is strange, it should offer you to revert to Nouveau.
