I'm a musician, mother, grandma and married. I'm not interested in meeting strange men. If you follow me for inappropriate reasons I will block you.
Today's forbidden word, "trauma". The government doesn't want us to talk about trauma.

My letter to my Repub Rep KK.

Do you know that if a teen starts hormonal treatment, their bodies are altered in strength? And you are so interested in protecting "girls" from transgender females, yet you say nothing about protecting the "boys" from transgender males.

Forbidden word of the day: " Stereotypes". We all have stereotypes, boxes into which we separate each other, and by which we seem to decide a person's worth, but don't say it in a grant!

Today's forbidden Grant word: "status". What's your status today?
April 28, 2025 at 1:24 AM
Forbidden word: "socioeconomic". It's an adjective, which, according to Oxford Online Dictionary, means: "relating to...the interaction of social and economic factors." Don't use this in a grant application.

"Sociocultural" is the forbidden word for today. I had to do some research. This Wikipedia page explains the word better than I, but it relates to education, and the ways in which environment (social and cultural) impacts learning. It is quite interesting.

Today's Forbidden phrase: "Social Justice". This is the idea that all people regardless of ethnicity, financial status, gender, or any other category by which we define people deserve equal justice. It is an idea at the core of our Democracy. It means that everyone deserves due process.

Forbidden phrase of the day: "Sexual preferences". In grade school, I had a friend who was not allowed to go to sex education, nor did her parents teach it. Stopping talk about anything sexual is going back to the dark ages. We can't just shut down communication about these issues.

Good morning.

I'm pretty sure all those rednecks who suddenly supported Tesla will be reconsidering purchasing now...

ICE officers are now reportedly required to meet arrest quotas each day, from a few hundred to between 1,200 and 1,500 nationwide. Jonathan Blitzer reports on the mystery of the agency’s unidentifiable arrests.
The Mystery of ICE’s Unidentifiable Arrests
In early March, the agency announced that it had arrested forty-eight people in New Mexico—a month later, their identities and whereabouts remain unknown.

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?

Today's Forbidden Phrase: "Sense of Belonging". I've reached a point where I think the AI that compiled this list was more bonkers than the administration. Don't use this phrase in a grant application or on government website. We don't want our children to feel a "sense of belonging".

Forbidden word(s): racial, racial diversity, racial inequity, racial justice, racially and racism. I probably should have listed these with yesterday's word. Basically, don't talk about race in a grant or government website.
April 19, 2025 at 12:41 AM
Forbidden words: "race and ethnicity". How do you talk about people's race or their ethic heritage without using these terms? The logic fails me.
April 18, 2025 at 5:44 AM
Forbidden phrase: "Promoting diversity". Let's call it "Encouraging differentiation." It's almost the same. It's time to make a new code for the important things in society. It is good to encourage differentiation from parents. So now we encourage differentiation in society. Sameness is boring.

Ok, time for another forbidden word. "Privileges". Oxford online dictionary definition states: "a special right... granted or available only to a particular person or group." We all have privileges. We will not be privileged to use this word for grants or government websites.

This is a stupid rant, but why when some place asks you to review would a person simply put stars and then not actually review the product. Stars without a review are worthless.

Saw a fake post on Facebook supposedly by Mark Harmon. Thought I might check here to see if I could let him know hundreds of people were pretending to be him. Turns out same thing is happening here. Does Bluesky have any method to prevent people from imitating others?

When mom lived in China she had to be careful who she spoke to and what she spoke about. In China people are encouraged to report on what their neighbors and coworkers do and say. That gave people "credit" and a way to move ip in society.
