wrote about this last year and sure I wasn't in any way the only one but imo people voting for populist politics in the 21st century *is* a sign that they do just have too much faith in institutions, as opposed to not enough - they want to have their little tantrum but assume things will just hold

That messaging is not going to come through the Russia-funded tankie left media, though,because they favor the incumbents. So if you do see it that means we’ve still got a genuine left in the US.

I think the US-centric take is “gen z protested corruption after they banned social media, burned government buildings and made Bernie Sanders president” and I wonder if you’ll see it presented that way through left media in the US.

They buried the lede: in the email dump they found a spreadsheet with a ~decade of all the little bribes Epstein and Maxwell handed out to friends and victims. I think that’s the whole ballgame.
