A good point people are bringing up — if they need to pretend that making this commercial was hard work to avoid getting yelled at, they are also undercutting the propaganda that A.I. will give you a ton more free time. Which fake story are you sticking to. bsky.app/profile/cult...

The studio behind it says they 'hardly slept' for several weeks while writing AI prompts and refining the shots — 'AI didn't make this film. We did'

Every writer I know, every artist I follow, is in the fucking trenches trying to survive this shit. GenAI is not the future because if it keeps going there is no future, and even if it was that would be no excuse.

Back in middle school, one of my teachers said that kids considered Ron Howard's movie to be the classic version of the story, which is terrifying to me.

I've talked with several people who have said, "I'm not usually into musicals, but I LOVED Hamilton!"

(On an unrelated note, I feel like there's no recommendation more likely to make me avoid a piece of media than, "I usually don't like [GENRE], but this one is *actually* good!")

At this point I try to dodge any Star Wars-related arguments, both online and in-person.

With every year I’ve grown increasingly zero-confidence in pretty much every aspect of our government and I don’t think that makes me cynical at all, tbh.

At a certain point naïveté ceases and you stop being surprised or shocked at ppl in power and start seeing things for what they actually are.
