"Anyone who proposes saving lots of taxpayer money by eliminating 'waste, fraud and abuse' should be ignored, because the very use of the phrase shows that they have no idea what they’re talking about."

Good. I been ignoring Muskaswamy as much as possible. Paul Krugman nails it in his Substack.

We need to get over this idea that policians get "turns". Bullshit. You put the representative in who's best for the moment. AOC would have gotten messages through to a media that will pay no attention to an old white guy saying the same things in the same ways. Wake up, Dems.

Here's some good news. Many of these appointments took place after Biden dropped out of the race, in case you were wondering what he's been doing.

The glorification of a murderer is troubling. While not condoning this act, I understand the motive. I also understand that the shooter would not have been immortalized in so many memes if he hadn't been young and cute. Our culture is messed up in so many ways. #singlepayernow
The Cold Social Media Reaction To The UnitedHealthcare CEO’s Killing Was Not Hard To Predict
You don’t have to feel good about these reactions to a human tragedy to understand why anybody associated with the insurance industry would inspire such hostility.

The new billionaires in DC seem to think they can dictate changes and other people will make it happen. Like massive cuts to programs, or eliminating departments entirely. This is why you don't put businessmen in charge of government. They're clueless how this all works.

We need to stop dissecting the Harris/Walz campaign. VERY tired of media voices on our side bashing Democrats for the election loss and Biden for pardoning his son. Stop trying to sound smart and contrarian on TV and podcasts by turning on your own party. That won't help win future elections.
We need to get past anger and move to defiant, ready and resolved to build a strong, durable opposition. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/buil...

So glad to see Dark Brandon rescuing his son. There's a time for the high road, but not when your son's life is at stake, and not when Trump has already debased the pardon power--and will continue to when he takes office. Go out swinging, Joe.

They may not like what Trump will do to the country, either.

Daytime temps dropped below freezing about a week ago here in southern Minneosta, so this might be my last find of the season. 😢 It doesn't photograph very well, but to the eye, this 1865 Indian Head penny looks like it was dropped before Grant met Lee at Appomattox.

NyQuil, DayQuil... I'm on all the Quils suffering through what I think is a common cold. No fever, chills or body aches, so I don't think it's a virus.Whatever it is, it's overstayed its welcome. Anyone else get this crud? How long does it take to beat it?

1868 Shield Nickel found in Dundas, MN. Plus all the trash I dug along the way. You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find a prince.

What's missing on this Indian Head? The shield on the reverse side, which was added to the design a year later. This is a 1st-year (1859) IHP. Even if the date is too roached to read, you can always tell an 1859 by the reverse. I found this at an extinct farmstead in Minnesota.

Can't believe I've been scrolling for 15 minutes and haven't been served up a single ad or suggested group to join. Breath of fresh air compared to Facebook. As for X... I was never very active over there anyway, so I deactivated that account tonight.

I hope we can keep this place from going south.
