Universities matter at least as much as much as steel. Invest in minds as well as materials. This it’s a sector we really can lead in globally, especially given the US car crash. But it means welcoming international students and removing bizarrely punitive visas
To understand this government, look at who it bailed out – and the flailing UK sector it didn’t | Gaby Hinsliff
Universities, a key plank of our economy, face a bonfire of jobs. But are they the jobs Starmer wants to be seen to be saving, asks Guardian columnist Gaby Hinsliff

Some great ideas to ease AI-supported product and software generation. Love the question-by-question approach - especially using voice tools. Saves a load of typing, great if using a keyboard is tricky.
I've been hearing a lot about different programming workflows to make full use of LLMs, but I want in-depth accounts of how it works. This blog by Harper Reed is exactly what I've been looking for.

😡😡😡
This man, for the second time, refused me access on a bus.
Saw me inline, allowed 3 buggies on before me and when I got to the door, it was like I didn't exist, went to close the door. I confronted him and asked why he was not letting me on. He said it's first come first serve and shrugged ♿

More brilliant news! Government spent just under £500,000 on defending disability cuts!

Where is the sense and logic?
Do Labour want to save money or just get rid of anybody disabled?!

There's going to be a lot of scientists, medics and academics wanting to leave the US. I hope our government see the opportunity to attract them to the UK, but that would involve funding higher education better.
