Whether they're blaming vaccines and Tylenol, or selling dubious "remedies," what they're really doing is promoting the perception that families (and especially mothers) can prevent and treat Autism. And thus also the perception that people with Autism and their families don't need social support.

I've been doing this for 21 years and now I really don't give af what caused my son's autism. I'd rather see more money go toward supports and programs for him and others like him but nah, let's find more ways to make it Mom's fault while we destroy Medicaid 🙄

I’ve said it before but reading all the medieval history books I’ve been reading lately has been so comforting. Makes you realize that there have always been mad and incompetent kings and they almost always die in ignominy and everyone piles shit on them for centuries after they’re gone.

My mom was an avid bicycle safety advocate and I had that stuff drilled straight into my brain as a young child. So here's my take FWIW:
Bicycles are vehicles.
Car drivers: treat them as you would other vehicles.
Cyclists: behave as you would if you were driving a car.
Look out for each other.
