Let’s all rally around Mark Kelly and let him know he has our support! We’ve got your six, Senator!
Pete Hegseth is scheduled to receive a report by December 10th that decides whether he's going to recall Mark Kelly to active duty and court-martial him. Before that happens, we're asking you to sign on (link in comments) and tell Mark: We've got your six.

PIERS: “You’re not gay?”
FUENTES: “No. But women are very difficult to be around.”
P: “Should they vote?”
F: “No.”
PIERS: “They should stay home?”
FUENTES: “Yeah.”
PIERS: “So you’re just a misogynistic dinosaur. Have you ever had sex?”
FUENTES: “No.”
PIERS: “Wow. Says the guy who never got laid.”

James Garfield was murdered by a man who thought he deserved a government job. Chester Arthur—once a machine politician—responded by helping create civil service reform.

Today’s GOP wants to undo that progress and return to patronage politics.

The GOP’s War on Civil Service: A Rejection of Its Own History
A look at how Garfield’s murder and Arthur’s unexpected courage created modern civil service protections—and why today’s GOP is trying to dismantle them.

It was really, really, really cold this morning (9°F) when we usually take our walk, so we waited until it warmed up to 20° and bundled up. It wasn't too bad, but it was nice to get home

College, healthcare...a house?! These are things that, without assistance, grants or loans, are completely out of reach for many people in this country now.

Trump is pulling federal agents from drug enforcement to chase immigrants, leaving Arizona checkpoints unattended and even pardoning convicted traffickers.

@azagmayes.bsky.social is right: this is making families across America less safe.
Opinion | Arizona attorney general: We're doing our part to fight drugs at the border. But the Trump administration has backed off.
Kris Mayes: My state is at the front lines in a drug crisis. Yet federal efforts to fight drug and human trafficking are declining.

We need to act to make housing more affordable.

I support New Dems in urging the Trump administration to help us address the housing crisis.

This means both lifting tariffs on materials and working with Congress to incentivize land use to increase housing production.
Housing is unaffordable for too many families, who have to choose between putting food on their table & keeping a roof over their heads.

New Dems, led by @normajtorres.bsky.social & @repemiliasykes.bsky.social, wrote to President Trump, demanding he take immediate action to address this crisis.

So basically, they’re trying to shape this so that the strikes now look like the Obama terrorist kill list that took place under an AUMF during the war on terror.

Our military families serve too.

As the husband of an Army Reserve Soldier and civil servant, I’ve seen the sacrifices families make behind the scenes — it’s time our policies reflect that.
