I wonder how much online conspiracy/qanon/unhinged bullshit is a result of men reading fewer and fewer books every year. Used to be these people would be stuck in an 800 page Tom Clancy novel, not bothering anyone. But now they don’t even do that anymore. They’re online talking to each other.

It's possible for men to treat women with full respect and humanity. Men are complete humans. They are as capable of complex emotional sensation and expression as women are. But we beat that out of them as children by pruning them into the violently restrictive role of 'man'.
