Van (brightly colored, in the presence of a shit ton of magic), muses "Something is off about you.... aha!" A towering celes looms over the scene, with flaming red hair and eyes, and a white robe and indigo mask. They're suddenly made into something a little goofier, as their eye is magically replaced with a googly eye. They seem upset and distressed, clawing away at their new eye and trying to remove it. Zac yells "van change it back or we're fucking TOAST i can FEEL the hate emanating from that thing", shaking Van by the shoulders, but Van holds their hands up and continues to mess with the Celes, saying "hang on. maybe it will like cat ears?" The Celes in the background suddenly gains cat ears and strange furred appendages, screaming GRAUUUGH with a toothy snarl as it gnashes out at nothing in particular.

Zac yells up to Sue (who is off-screen, hiding in a radio tower) "Sue, you asshole! Get down here and fight me like a man!" A glaringly red frown takes up the bottom left of the screen, while an emergency alarm system banner scrolls across the top reading "ZAC IS ENGAGING IN MISOGYNY. THIS IS TO SIGNAL HIS CLUELESS IGNORANCE WITH-" before being cut off at the end of the screen. Van peacefully eats soup while reading a book. A massive disgusted, horrified face appears on the screen, telling you you should feel utterly confused. A disclaimer appears on the right, reading: "Do NOT eat while reading. Studies have shown that multitasking reduces your capacity for learning, and furthermore, there is an inherent risk that eating while distracted could lead to eating related hazards such as: Choking."

The waiter serves Flick a hamburger and fries. A spotlight shines down onto the table. Flick licks her lips and says out loud, possibly as loud as is possible, "MM-MM-MM!!! DON'T MIND IF I DO!!!" Flo covers her face in... embarrassment, as the entire clientele stares at her table.

a world woven of time and space, of matter, crystal and spirit
A colorful collage of various characters and locations from Luscept. The Trio, (Van, Sue and Zac), Aiso, Qu, a Celes, and the Harmony Phantom. At the bottom is signed "Luscept" in il'suastet, PROPERLY spelled this time... Various scenes are depicted, from top to bottom left to right: The King and Queen cast the barrier to protect The Cliff Where The Earth Was Called To Meet The Sky, using all of their energy. (it does not last but for mere minutes.) The Harmony Phantom stands, menacing over the sky. Aiso stands split between a wasteland of crystal and the haunting sound of the bell, which follows him no matter where he walks. Zac sits focused, casting barriers of his own, like his parents. It's the only thing he knows how to cast. Van watches butterflies flitter across the sky, and smiles with a childlike grin. Sue also has a sheepish grin, and is buried in waves of her own hair, as it flows over fields of flowers and thorns. A Celes stands over a spire, with an indiscernable stare. Qu twirls a ribbon between her fingers, as she walks through the College she built, wondering what happens next-- Half of her face is cut off, only allowing you to view her subtle smirk. A pale white sunset, and a dark, gleaming sunset sit next to each other, the world of dreams and the nights of reality bleed into one another.

Some Phantoms can phase through solid matter.

They just appear.

They can also "see" you through walls, because Magic doesn't interact with Matter as strongly as it reacts with Spirit.

A graph with two axes, "Corporeality" and "Magic". Corporeality refers to how "physical" the individual is. Magic refers to how much magic their system contains. At the left is a normal person, with very little magic. The next step up is a Wizard, who has a decent amount of latent magic flowing through their body. The final step is an unstable Fairy. Magic already corrodes one's physical body, causing ailments, disorder or disability, but beyond the level of a Fairy, physical matter ultimately disintegrates under the intense force of magic. Almost all roads lead to becoming a Phantom upon death. A Phantom is a malformed entity which does not have enough magic to sustain its "life". Only with an incredibly intense quantity of magic (enough to fry a normal person...) does a fully fledged Celes form, a being with awareness and self-control.

Zac, as a blue, vaguely pangolin-shaped being, wearing a red tasseled mask. He has a tail that ends in a rapier-style sword. He whips it around dramatically, and does a falling stab onto a strange balloon shaped phantom, popping it. Van, saying "creature..." reaches out to pet his nose, but gets hit with a snort as Zac blows him away. While Van imagines what it'd be like to have a piggy back ride, Zac knocks over a tree, scaring Sue. Sue says "so like. when do I get to be like a tiger or something", and Van says "Nah, that's silly. I think you should be a caterpillar!" Sue grumbles to herself "girl you're already the butterfly." Sue holds up her fists and challenges Zac, yelling "this changes nothing. I can still take him." Zac contemplates ending her career.
