I'm not wild about IG. My only reason for staying on is keeping up with artist friends who aren't on other sites or have their own website. Otherwise, I would've completely abandoned it a long time ago.

Hot take perhaps, but the environmental impact of AI is far worse and more worrying than the plagiarism or copyright issues... and the conversation largely being focused on the latter is honestly frustrating.

Outside of feeling like I'm not presenting my work effectively, I genuinely love learning about artists that I can add to my inspiration library. So being consistently recommended artists that I don't connect with in any way is disheartening.

Some examples of what a sketch page comm might look like, though it's have more sketches on it most likely like the last example, which is an old sketch page commission for @hbtyson.bsky.social actually!

All of these are old art from (more than a few..) years ago now, but still good examples!
