Absolutely amazing to hear Cuckoo back in Lullymore! They're all but gone from farmland where l live and sadly can only find refuge in bogs.

The Sand Martin are wasting no time this year. With the sunshine lots have paired up & are building nests. The contrast between this yr & last couldn't be greater. Sand Martin are hugely weather dependant. Cool & wet conditions make for low productivity. Let's hope this year is kind to them.

Spotted my first bunch of Sand Martin feeding over the pond on March 24th. My heart fills with joy when these little beauties return. #sandmartin .

It's a fabulous day for a walk in the woods. There's no better way to clear the head. If you're lucky a Woodpecker might make an appearance.

So delighted to spot my first Small tortoiseshell of the year. Also very relieved to see one at all after their scarcity in 2024. The importance of #dandelions can't be overstated.
