The moment I saw that "trans bra" M & S story I sensed it was nonsense.
Seconds later, having read the Telegraph piece I knew it was worse than that. It was deliberate hate mongering completely devoid of evidence, names and facts.

The moment I saw that "trans bra" M & S story I sensed it was nonsense.
Seconds later, having read the Telegraph piece I knew it was worse than that. It was deliberate hate mongering completely devoid of evidence, names and facts.

Labour's immigration announcement today is a reflection of the paucity of honest debate by BOTH political parties over the last decade on this issue.
Labour has never made a counter-argument, or been honest about economic cost of immigration curbs, so it's stuck making Tory/Reform arguments 1/n

Something that makes this all very clear to me is how Starmer is on the record as saying the exact opposite of his current positions, just a few years ago. So what we're seeing is politics as a purely technical exercise in controlling optics, no matter who gets crushed to death in the process.

When govts stop panicking and announcing policy to “challenge” Nigel effing Farage, we may stand a chance of fixing the mess that Nigel effing Farage helped to make. I may be wrong, but IMO Labour is not fighting Reform well, they are trying to appease them in a way that they cannot win, while largely defending the status quo, rather than bringing the fight to them. They have 4 years for real reform, and to show Farage et Al as Putinists..

I feel for my trans siblings today. I’m not surprised at the clarification of existing law, but of course if anyone thinks trans people will just accept this they’ll be wrong and the law will need updating.
