It is kind of massively depressing to know that like... yeah sure, there 100% are troll farms out there paid for by foreign actors. There are some governments that are actively fucking with us.
But the vast vast VAST majority of these? Are literally just doing it as right wing clickbait.

So I am about a week or two into running Linux now and I have to say...
God I wish I did this sooner. Honestly, POP OS at least is such a user friendly experience that it is frankly on par with modern windows in terms of needing to hike your sleeves and get into Terminal/deeper features.

So... normally I'd agree with the idea that gen AI conversations need more nuance as I do think that. But you know the one place where I do NOT think that is true? When it is obvious as fuck that it's only being used to increase profit and decrease human cost for already successful businesses. HMM.

I think we should start using walking canes as an accessory again.
Why?
Reason 1: Normalizing the use of a cane, so that canes can get both cheaper and cooler, helping people who need them.
Reason 2: To remind people in power what they CAN be hit with, should they continue to fuck around.

Man. I need to go into the weeds for Pokemon fan games again. I liked Infinite Fusion, but it kinda falls off after the first elite four IMO. It's real weird that it doesn't keep the level progression standard, it kinda expects you to setup a new low level team for the second half of the game???

Having now played around with AI gen stuff and the like for various reasons, and having looked into it in other ways as well, a lot of the stuff that people rightfully shit on in terms of AI Slop shockingly just gets even more egregious. The worst offenders aren't even using *AI* well.

I find it kind of fascinating that we got to this point. On its face this is exactly where AI SHOULD be shining. Prototyping, the thing you do before you go and hire someone to do it proper. Because AI will never get good enough to do solid work that can be repeated without fault, it just doesn't
