A) there is no requirement that any of your characters has any sort of "arc" let alone a redemption.

B) there is also no requirement that your fiction has a plot.

My son (aged 3) just asked the next door neighbour if she has a little lamb. You can guess her first name. I think this indicates a future scientist (tests hypothesis). My friend thinks he’s trolling. Thoughts?
