Let's face it all with grace and dignity
And let's kick some ass.

you always see people saying that there's no shortcut to becoming a good writer, you just have to write, and that's absolutely true. but there is another thing you could be doing and that's read as much as possible.

One way to reduce drug spend is to have the FDA do an analysis of how long medicine retains it's potency. It can do it one drug at a time.

No one should throw away medicine they shouldn't have to. Whether pharmacy or patient.

The Myth of Drug Expiration Dates
Hospitals and pharmacies are required to toss expired drugs, no matter how expensive or vital. Meanwhile the FDA has long known that many remain safe and potent for years longer.

A federal court has declared that warrantless searches of US person’s communications collected for national security purposes is unconstitutional. Now it’s our job to make sure Congress knows that when they renew this law in a little over a year.

They don't know how to read and the ones that can are too young to know how to read cursive. So they only know the parts of the Constitution that their leaders tell them are in it. The same goes for the Bible. They only know the parts others say are in it.

If y'all really think the same man who delayed stimulus checks to millions of desperate Americans, just so the checks would have his signature on it, wouldn't intentionally ban an app, so that he could come back and "save" that same app and play the hero, you haven't been paying attention.

Sometimes you pour pancake batter onto the skillet and realize immediately “wellp, that’s gonna be an ugly one.”

I think art and writing goes the same way.

you can try to fix it while it fries, learn and pour a better one next time, or find the person who wants to eat it in all its ugliness

My introduction to #booksky I guess?

📚 Reading is political
🎧 Audiobooks count as reading
📖 Reading is not a competition
🤔 Reading critically & reading for fun are not mutually exclusive
👉 If you support problematic authors, you deserve to be called out on it

One of my favorite lines in Return of the King is during the scouring of the Shire, when Frodo expresses alarm at the idea of taking action . Merry says, "You won't rescue Lotho, or the Shire, just by being shocked and sad, my dear Frodo"

Resonates a lot these days.
