Covid began in 2020. Trump bungled it into a deep recession. Biden had the economy humming again on January 19, 2025. Trump Crash 2.0 might be two Covids deep. The sooner he is defeated, the better for everybody.

AUGUST TRUMP: “He is going to have problems with Washington like no Mayor in the history of our once great city. Remember, he needs the money from me ... to fulfill all of his fake communist promises.”

NOVEMBER TRUMP: "He is actually a really rational person,"

The US economy is deteriorating in parallel with the political situation. Appreciation of this fact is clouded in the media. Ignorance is papered over by a disingenuous debate and journalistic equivocation. We need to unlearn some “basic economics.

A massive backlash against progress in civil rights.

Yet another spasm of white supremacist patriarchic rage.
In her furious dissent, Jackson writes of the Supreme Court's decision: "The project of stymying one of the country’s great civil rights laws continues." She likens today's ruling to notorious decisions after the Civil War cutting back civil rights statutes. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

Just a reminder. The US economy was the envy of the world under Biden. All of the rise in GDP post-pandemic was Biden's fault, plus 0.2.

Trump is crashing the economy. In Q1, the rush to import in front of the tariffs drove net exports down into the negative zone.

The US had an economy that was the "envy of the world" 101 days ago. Today there is nowhere to go but down.

Living in Seattle, I remember this sudden absence of container ships in the harbor from 2008. Wikipedia has an article "The Great Trade Collapse". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_T...

The 2008-09 drop in trade was global, synchronized across the world. Not the case with the Trump Tariff Tantrum.
