Voter Sentiment Tracker
@dem-qual-research.bsky.social
I measure consumer sentiment in my day job. I’d like to help the dems do a better job understanding voters in 2028.
The current inflation rate in the US may seem low, but inflation keeps compounding. From 2015-2025, there have been cumulative price increases of 30-40% in the US.
January 14, 2026 at 2:34 AM
The @nytimes.com is reporting that inflation has slowed but it takes 2 minutes of looking at the BLS website to see that they are only monitoring a few select categories. Dem candidates, please focus on the important facts, the jokes on social media can wait.

I’m assuming that Trump is trying to align himself with someone who polls well. Nothing more, nothing less.
Lol Trump is totally whipped here.
Q: Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?

MAMDANI: I've spoken about--

TRUMP: That's okay. You can just say yes. I don't mind.

Lawrence opened my eyes to a new perspective on this shutdown compromise. I trust him a lot more than the armchair analysts on social media. @lastword.msnbc.com @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com

What they need to learn from Mamdani is that if you actually listen to your constituents, commit to fighting for them and their needs vs. selling out to corporate interests and the oligarchs, you can take on anybody.

Agree with Bernie here and I think the Mamdani win proves this out: “Bernie Sanders: ‘There Ain’t Much of a Democratic Party’” www.nytimes.com/2025/11/03/o...

No one needs to read any more posts about Trump and his power trip. We hear about him 2 million times a week. Being the anti-Trump candidate is not a winnable message. Focus on what you stand for, like @sanders.senate.gov
Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth’s power trip continues to stretch out of hand, inciting fear and chaos in cities that don't need military presence to occupy their streets.

When does enough become enough? End this nonsense now.
Yesterday, we filed a lawsuit challenging Trump’s illegal federalization of the National Guard.

This morning, we filed a motion for a temporary restraining order to block the federalization from going into effect.

We’ll keep sharing updates as things progress.

Being the anti-Trump candidate is not going to work in upcoming elections. @sanders.senate.gov and @aoc.bsky.social are the only ones who are on the right path for these times.

Exactly the right message we need but I think the word oligarch is not language that everyday people use.
We are witnessing the rise of two very separate and distinct Americas:

One for the billionaire class. One for everybody else.

Our country is not supposed to be run by a handful of wealthy oligarchs while a majority of people struggle to afford the basic necessities.

Republicans need proof that inflation and prices are up.

Stop wasting time on jokes and philosophical discussions.

Trumps decline in approval is entirely due to democrats. R’s maintain very high approval. Any efforts to sway Dems is wasted time and money.

@petebuttigieg.bsky.social I’m at your hotel. My coworkers met you. So bummed I missed you! 😭

Go to yougov and search through. There are already a few very key issues that democrats and republicans agree on. Mamdani and AOC are already talking about these issues effectively.
Ah yes. The always-successful “changing Republicans’ minds”

More power to you. I hope you’re successful. I’ve never found any of them to be open to facts, but I hope they are.
July 3, 2025 at 7:01 PM
Dems trying to convince Dems is a waste of time. How about trying to spend valuable time trying to change Republican opinions in all local elections?
How do you think the minority party can be effective at stopping this republican party? I’m sure they’d be interested in hearing your ideas.

If it took 8 days to build a massive concentration camp in Florida then it means they could build and house the homeless at any point but choose not to

#ICE raided the car wash today on Los Alisos in south #Orangecounty. It’s pretty sickening to see this happening in our community.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social is proof that Dems should be focusing on working class issues. It’s also perfectly obvious when you look at consumer sentiment data.
June 26, 2025 at 3:55 AM
Republicans still strongly support DT, but there’s one issue they have common ground w Dems on: 7 in 10 Americans are stressed about their finances*. (northwest mutual)
June 19, 2025 at 6:38 PM
DJTs favorably may be bad (46%), but the favorability of the Dem party is even worse (38%). Bernie and AOC are among the top rated politicians nationally. This should tell you what the Dem message should be (fight for working class).

The financial literacy of republicans is poor. This is proof.
About half of Americans think the wealthy will benefit most from President Trump's budget, while 21% say the middle class will and 6% think the poor will.

It is pretty clear that Dem strategists do not listen to the research. Maybe with the exception of the AOC/ Bernie team. @aoc.bsky.social
The 2024 Data Don't Lie:

The only issue voters can clearly associate with the modern D Party is support for gay rights.

That's it.

Voters are 50/50 on which party is on SS and Medicare.

Yes, really.

That's why we need to leave pound them on the economy and critical programs like Medicaid.

If only Dem strategists would listen to the research instead of preaching to their own non stop.

We wont let them succeed? Who’s stopping them?
These are deeply, profoundly, tragically abnormal times riven by cruel, hateful, reckless and ignorant people bent on dismantling our government, strengthening Putin, stoking fear, breaking our spirit, enriching themselves and ruling over the ashes of public liberty. We won’t let them succeed.
