With a few bug fixes and a more natural placement in the level editor, inclined walls are now fully supported :D I love that the rendering worked as-is, for once the overcomplication paid off

I finally implemented something I always wanted to have in my engine: inclined walls! Under the hood it's still AABB collision checking, but a local coordinates translation adds a whole new dimension to my level design :D

I finally decided to add prefabs to my engine :D
It took a bit more than an hour to get the core functionality done. Time to spend three days on the last 20% of the implementation (removing the jank)

Nothing fancy, but I implemented a selection rotation in my editor :D First step towards functioning prefabs (which would allow me to place more toilets in the world, as per player feedback from the previous game)

Behold, persistent rooms! Rather than respawning every enemy on re-entry like in a traditional metroidvania, I decided to try the soulslike route of letting small enemies stay dead until you retry the level. Let's see if it works out fine!

I always wanted to make a game with RPG elements, and I thought "wait, why can't it just be an extension of Demons Happened?"

Seeing people play Demons Happened was such a strong motivation that I finally, FINALLY added the coffee break scene I cut 3 years ago for a lack of time. It's just as peaceful as I hoped, and a well deserved pause in the challenging 2nd world :D
