Planted bulbs today! As much as I try to plant as many native plants as I can, I promised my dad I’d plant daffodils (his favorite). And when I saw this pack of tulip bulbs… well I’m only human, and I can’t resist the siren call of goth flowers!

Hello #bugsky I have an identification request! There’s about 20 of these around my dad’s porch light and I’d like to know whether they’re chill #Moth Friends who are simply common here, or if they are dastardly invasive criminals. I’m in the #pnw on the east side of the cascades, if that helps
The back side of a one inch wide moth on a trailer window. It is nondescript and grayish brown, with wings that slope form to form a spade-like shape The same mother but from the bottom this time. The glass distorts the color a little but you can more clearly see the shape of the body now, which I’m not good enough at bug biology to really describe in detail sorry.

Some brilliant finds from our ride today!
Search says these pink Trilliums are uncommon but I saw about 7000 of them today! They ranged from pure white to a deep rosy pink and the entire ridge was covered in them!

I think the name “North Pacific tree frog” is a bit of a misnomer, in my experience they should be called “North Pacific fountain frogs” since they all hang out around my fountain!
