Solidarity with every NEH employee who is part of the Reduction in Force, and whose separation from the agency is being enacted today.
We guess that Monday miracle for #NEH employees won't be happening after all. Tomorrow over 100 staff and public servants of the #humanities will be terminated from their positions. It's heartbreaking and so completely unnecessary.
We know we’ve been more quiet on here lately. We’re hoping for a Monday miracle today, friends. We know so many of you are as well (for various reasons).

Although NEH has ceased to exist in its former glory for the past 59 days, tomorrow it becomes very real. (1/2)

It is 100% carrying water for the opposition to participate in this collective delusion that Dems for some reason need to answer for every teen who throws a rock rather than hold the Trump admin accountable for intentionally creating chaos and breaking the law to stoke violence.

They are in charge.

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

A gripping history of dreams, power & persistence that uncovers the failed 1820s push to build a Nicaraguan canal—an ambitious plan that, while unrealized, helped shape 19th-c. global diplomacy and trade. uncpress.org/book/9781469...

The path for Trump targeting college students was paved by the Democratic Party & their leaders making enemies out of these young people.

If you want to talk about fascism, they deployed a police state on campuses all across California. Don’t ever forget this.

You are now required to have a cellphone to citizen.

That should not be allowed.

You should not be required to have a cellphone to work.

But many employers make a cellphone a de facto requirement.

It’s anti-poor. But it’s also anti-democratic.
I know it wouldn’t fix all consumer hostility but a right to an analog life would be such an improvement. So much of this hostility is mediated through technology and it’s constant churn of updates and “enhancements”
An example of what I mean when I say everyday consumer interactions for basic needs are hostile.

A utility company services 8 million ppl in my state.

They changed payment platforms. Just changed.

Every customer has to create a new account, Re-enter payment info, set up billing, auto draft
