Preempting the contractual excuses about Arsenal's conduct. If player contracts stipulate they may continue playing while under investigation for rape, then football has an institutional problem with how it regards sexual violence. Change it.

Now we can address the elephant in the room. This is a big fat stain for Arsenal Football Club. The comments about what “he was going through”, celebrating him at times, offering him a new contract - all shameful acts. He’s gone and hopefully his victims find peace but the club should be ashamed.
