The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

Library recently started a baking cookbook book club. This month is Sweet Tooth by Sarah Fennel so here's some Orange Pull -Apart Bread which definitely did not take 3 hours and 15 minutes to make. I'm fighting one hell of a sugar crash though.

Internet Roadtrip is my favorite thing on the internet right now—it’s basically Twitch Plays Google Street View. They started in Boston, spent several weeks on a quest to cross the Canadian border, and are now exploring New Brunswick. neal.fun/internet-roa...

So uh, was that act that allowed CPB to cross into Canada armed with RCMP authority to find drug dealers expanded to cover land or is it still a maritime thing for now
“Those nasty Canadians are ripping us off and are controlled by Mexican cartels. They’re poisoning us with fentanyl and need to become the 51st state or they will pay a high price” is a belief that literally ZERO Americans had six weeks ago. It’s entirely invented from scratch.

I’ve said this before and I will probably say it again, but we forget so easily that everyone from history we look back on as the face of some movement had something else they wanted to do with their lives. I think every day about the fact that all Fred Hampton wanted was to play for the Yankees.
You had different dreams for yourself than having to meet this shit historical moment.

I did too. I did too.

Anyway, I'm supposed to get 25 - 40cm (10 - 15 inches) of snow in the next 36 hours.

That's in addition to the 9+ inches we got on Thursday.

At least I got a skate in!
