No. If the ban is lifted at Judicial Review then the arrests and any charges or convictions would have been unlawful and would have to be reversed.

RUI for a “summary only” offence means prosecutors must bring charges within 6 months of arrest, or there can be no further action.

RUI does not mean those arrested will certainly avoid trials or prosecution.

We expect all 857 Sept 6 arrestees to be RUI.
