The 1st piece of advice I would give new investors is start w 80% in index funds.

The 2nd is don't invest on hope and momentum. Read the financial statements & listen to earnings calls. Understand valuation.

The 3rd is don't lower that 80% until...

Trump announced the trade war on Saturday when markets were closed. Right now stonk futures are opening about 2% down. He had actually announced these tariffs on Thursday, so a lot of this had already been priced in. Bottom line: Markets think this is bad for business.

The irony of people doing this fake virtue signaling (after an entire campaign rife with fainting spells over the cost of eggs), is that their political deity is famous for manufacturing his clothing outside the US and for failing to pay American contractors.

Donald Trump has convinced his blind ignorant followers that we are facing a trade deficit crisis bc of our increasing deficit. Here's the thing .. That's what is SUPPOSED to happen when you have an economy distancing itself from the rest of the world & a currency that is the strongest in decades.

If I were Canadian PM I would immediately:

1. Create a new $15B science fund

2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada

3. Immediate permanent residency

4. Citizenship after 2 years

Overnight a science superpower

The irony of unelected bureaucrat Elon Musk whining about unelected bureaucrats.

Bro is trying to oust a senior treasury official because he wants access to sensitive government payment processing systems.

Talk about tyranny.

I wonder if $XOM Exxon shareholders have noticed the over 12% dilution over the last 9 months. Not a trend I would want to be a part of. Why is a company that makes 33 BILLION in annual profits diluting shareholders?

Buying opportunity for soon to be the most profitable company in the world. Cheaper inference for AI just means more usage. Training and server demand for AI will still be through the roof, bullish for $NVDA

People should be selling $AAPL and $TSLA
While #NVDA has lost $334 billion in market cap this week, the combined market caps of $AAPL, $AMZN, $GOOGL, $META, and $MSFT have increased by $299 billion—resulting in a net market cap drop of just $34.8 billion.

Mega-cap rotation in full effect—can the market hold up if Nvidia keeps sliding? 🤔

Biggest risk to the American economy? This administration.

Tariffs are recessionary

Withholding disaster aid causes businesses to close forever

Forcing the Fed to lower rates will paradoxically cause a rise in Treasury rates & lending rates bc of fears of worsening inflation

Like this post if you refuse to ever buy a Tesla, use Starlink, or use X as long as neo Nazi Adolf Elon Musk owns them. $TSLA

He just lost millions of potential buyers in Europe with that salute. The earnings reports for the first 6 months of 2025 will not be pretty.
