There's a distinction between Single Issue voters who look for any one reason NOT to vote for someone (e.g., "too liberal," or "Pro abortion") versus a single reason to vote FOR someone (e.g., "He's shutting down the border," or "He's cutting out government waste," or "He's draining the Swamp.")

And a president who embodies class, empathy, and selflessness .

Average voter asked to choose which matters more: A swivel-eyed loon heading up FEMA, or food/gas/rent costs continuing to rise while health care insurance becomes unaffordable.
Guess which one 99.9% would choose (or which wouldn't affect how they'd vote).

A good illustration of how hard it is to emulate the @nytpitchbot.bsky.social . Keep at it and maybe it will come more easily to you.

Too bad the US doesn't allow snap elections. If they did, the US would have a government that is the polar opposite of the one they have today.

Well, there's a great example of a single-issue voter.

Yeah, right after he and his wife worked tirelessly to get trump elected.

I think I missed the part of the video where trump is "stunned." Anyone have a time stamp?

I appreciate George's passion and commitment.
However, as a lifelong Democrat and as someone who will always tell anyone who asks, "I'm as liberal as it gets," I would never vote for him or anyone else who labels themselves "conservative." Sorry, I've seen too many times what "conservative" means.

Wait, you're watching the parade? On TV? Good thing your budget includes cable. You can always steal some food, but you can't watch the parade if you can't afford to live in Manhattan. Priorities!

If and when the history of the early 21st Century is written, it needs to include a chapter on your contribution to saving a country that was perilously close to circling the drain.

I wish more people would do that for those of us who are not subscribers but who can benefit from the excellent work of you and your colleagues.

Unfortunately, that would result in Vance moving up to president. Not necessarily as corrupt, but a near equal in terms of evil.

Are you related to Wes Lukens, the mountain bike prodigy?

Everyone thought last year they'd "tear each other apart," and other than non-entity Christie it was pretty much sucking up to Der Fuhrer.

He's wearing Spanx over the diaper now.
As he would say, "Many are saying I look tight, tight, tight."

I'd rather find that it was your team's skill that won the day.

Someone let Florida know.

I think that might be a photo from when they released their healthcare plan during his first term.

I wouldn't put too much emphasis on that. I tried to visit a mountain biking web site and got the "You've been blocked" message that said it was a Cloud Flare thing. I checked back about 15 minutes later and it was back to normal.

I remember the old days when we called this stuff Photoshopped, but now it's "AI" . Either way: Pathetic.

It's spelled simpleton.

Is the yellowfin sole fishery still a thing? If so, it is historically the biggest offender in terms of killing bottom fish and crabs that are not targeted: halibut, various flounders, opiolio and bairdi crab, etc. It is an unjustifiable fishery that also wastes much of the species it targets.

Boebert is now apparently a "key Republican." From groping her bf's genitals in public to Key Status.... Lazarus would be jealous of such a resurrection.

And all of the couches were, no doubt, more than 16 years old. He has verrrrry legit looking receipts from a furniture store, I'm sure.
