The motivations of the hexcore are fascinating because it was an entity that clearly sought to survive (hence not allowing Viktor to destroy it), and yet presumably Viktor’s actions in the commune were leading to the death of the hexcore’s host. Would it have sought another? Continued regardless?

I haven’t opened Reddit in ages but 😗 even I had to comment.
Also, not to be annoying but maybe people can skip the pleasantries and go straight to the questions? The long questions with half a paragraph saying how amazing they are seems a bit much.

We researchers make the worst research participants. We’re going to take it annoyingly seriously, will comment on every aspect of the design, point out spelling or prototype errors, and harp about there being too many survey questions.

Wow, I’m so glad I totally didn’t overreact to the spider that crawled out of the blinds as I was opening them. So cool that I stayed calm and collected, and definitely didn’t yell at all.

Being “woke” means being unable to enjoy many things in life because you’re finally aware of the misogyny, racism, ableism, and all the -isms. The way Tartt describes the “puke stench” of a Sikh’s cab; the “hunchback” comment of the disabled old man; the random “Asians” throughout.

My fear about the AMA tomorrow is that the writers didn’t think through any of those pressing questions everyone has, and whatever answer they provide will be half-baked and at odds with what people probably look for. It feels like JKR retroactively adding narratives that weren’t there.

Got my blood drawn today and the technician asked if the needle was okay, and whether it hurt, and I was like 😊 “I just got a tattoo that hurt more than this.” I hear men are especially susceptible to passing out when getting blood drawn 😌 couldn’t be me.
