Yes. But not successful since we didn't get anything back from Trump. One thing I thought at the time is that in a negotiation you usually wait till you get near the end of the bargaining to make concessions. The things I mentioned we done right at the beginning.

More self sufficient militarily for sure. Not sure the other give-aways were needed for us to become more self sufficient. Nor were they necessary for "tactful stern diplomacy" to be brought to bear The concessions were to try to get a trade deal, which we didn't get. Unfortunate.

Prime Minister Carney, you campaigned on housing, healthcare, and affordability. This bail reform wasn’t in that platform. Are you governing as a Liberal or implementing conservative policy? When will Canadians see the progressive agenda you promised?
