My girl is five years down the road and new effects popping up. The struggle is real.
I can partially get why muggles don't understand that carcinomies have to deal with late effects from treatment and fear of recurrence. I just cannot understand how there are still medical professionals who just don't understand this.

Health insurance is wild. You pay every month for months, years, decades, in case something catastrophic happens.

Five years ago today a surgeon sat across the desk and opened a file. I remember sitting there looking at him hoping that all she had endured had paid off and the beast in her breast and lymph nodes was dead. When he said it was…I still can’t even. Happy US Thanksgiving. #cansky #Cancerbs

I watched my girl go through all of this following treatment in 2019. I bet your hair will never be “just” your hair ever again. It certainly isn’t for her.
Time is so weird. I remember crying when my hair fell out from chemo in September 2022, knowing it wouldn't be long again for three years. 2025 seemed so far away. Now here I am, almost two years out from finishing chemo with shoulder-length hair. We're getting there! #CancerSky
